  • Late December: Paper copies of tax bills available to town tax collector
  • By December 31st: tax bills are mailed to property owners at address of record or Escrow account holder, if notified
  • End of December: Tax collector may receive tax payments for the subsequent year, once the tax warrant is received
  • Month of January: Property owner can pay tax bill in person at the town hall or by mail without penalty or interest. For mailed payment, postmark date determines date paid.
  • Month of February: Property owner is assessed 1% interest for late payment, but can still pay in person or by mail. For mailed payment, postmark date determines date paid.
  • Month of March: Same as February, but 2% interest is charged
  • Month of April: Same as February, but 3% interest is charged; late notices are sent for unpaid tax bills after April 15th
  • Month of May: Property owner is assessed 4% interest for late payment plus $1.00 second notice fee, but can still pay in person or by mail. For mailed payment, postmark date determines date paid.
